I have been a qualified teacher for ten years and completed a Master’s degree in Chemistry at Imperial College London, gaining a First Class Honors degree. I have taught Chemistry at a top independent boys’ school for four years and previously at an independent girls` school for two and a half years. I have both a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), working in various state schools during this time to gain experience. In addition, I studied Physics and Mathematics as my ancillary subjects at Imperial College London.

I have a passion to help students achieve their ambitions and true potential. I encourage students to develop their intellectual curiosity beyond the confines of the syllabus and strive to excellence in whichever field they chose to pursue. I believe in a balanced approach where academic study,physical health and dedicated time to help learning consolidation can co-exist.

I attended secondary school as a boarder in Reading School, Berkshire, where I completed my GCSEs (8A*, 4A) in 2007 and A Levels in Mathematics (A), Further Mathematics (A), Chemistry (A) and History (A) in 2009.

I have tutored numerous students for the past ten years with over 12,000 hours experience. In all cases I have improved their exam performances to help them achieve their goals. Each student has a unique learning style, and it is our duty at Precision Tutoring to find out what that is and adapt lessons accordingly.

In addition, we are offering courses to help tutors gain a teacher’s perspective in order to improve their practice. These courses are open to individuals and tutoring agencies. I have been teaching for over 16 years after graduating from the University of Warwick with a master’s degree in physics and from the Institute of Education with my PGCE in teaching science. Since then, I have been teaching science, mathematics and computer science at all levels to students aged between 11 and 18. I have taught Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science up to A level, Biology and Chemistry up to GCSE.

In my career I have worked in outstanding state schools as both Head of Physics and Head of Science, prepared students for their Oxbridge interviews through mock interview practice and worked as an examiner for AQA which I continue to do today. For the last 6 years I was Head of Physics at an exceptional independent school before switching to my new role as a full-time tutor.

I teach all my lessons remotely through Zoom and use a shared OneNote notebook to create an exercise book of the work we do in our lessons, homework and feedback. The most important aspect of my lessons is to build confidence in my students; getting questions wrong is not a problem, they learn not to fear having a go. In my subjects, being willing to make mistakes and to learn from them is possibly the most important skill of all; Elon Musk’s SpaceX is currently building a platform to take humans back to the Moon and beyond through a rocket program whose very public and expensive ‘mistakes’ are the means by which it has made extraordinary progress.

I have extensive experience in Teaching Maths GCSE and A-level in the UK for over 20 years since 2001. I offer one – to – one or group lessons online . I am highly motivated and always try to infuse my pupils with self–confidence and enthusiasm for the subject. As I have a very friendly approach and always try to use my students’ full potential I find that they usually make quick progress and achieve excellent grades. I am very proud of my students’ high success rate. The majority of my students achieve A*/A or they get higher than their predicted grade. From the reviews you can see that most of my students are studying or have graduated from Russell Group Universities (top 20 Universities in the UK).

I am Head of Economics and Business at a leading independent London school. I’ve been teaching for 13 years since leaving a 19 year career spent in various marketing and sales roles for consumer branded companies. I combine strong theoretical knowledge with real world experience that makes these subjects so topical and interesting.

With a degree in History and a particular passion for Medieval and Tudor history, I served as course manager for Tudor History for four years, leading students to excellent results. I also spent over a decade as a pastoral manager, supporting around 200 students per year across seven tutor groups, and worked as link tutor to Oxford University. Most recently, I taught Modern History, balancing academic rigour with personalised pastoral care.

My coaching approach combines this rich background in teaching and mentoring with a practical, supportive style that helps students grow in confidence, find direction, and achieve their goals.”

I am a highly experienced tutor with a strong academic background and a track record of helping students achieve outstanding results. After achieving 10 GCSEs and 5 A Levels, all at grade A, I went on to study History at King’s College London—part of the prestigious Russell Group—graduating with a 2:1. Since 2012, I have tutored a wide range of students across the UK and internationally, specialising in essay-based subjects including English, History, Religious Studies, and Global Perspectives up to A Level.

My work includes extensive experience in homeschooling and international education. I led a full GCSE programme for a VIP family during the pandemic, guiding a student through their studies with consistency and rigour. I also spent four years overseas in Dubai, Moscow, Turkey, and Ibiza, where I was responsible for the full-time education of a single student, tailoring a personalised curriculum and overseeing their academic progress across multiple subjects.

In addition to private tutoring, I have volunteered with Bright Futures UK, supporting children facing health and social challenges. I have twice received awards from Tavistock Tutors—one of London’s leading agencies—in recognition of my dedication and results. My approach is calm, structured, and student-focused, aiming not just for academic success but for confidence, independence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.

Graduating from Cambridge University with Qualified Teacher Status, I was a professional director at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry. In July 2024, I helped my IB tutee in Castelfranco, Italy with her successful application to read Land Economy at Cambridge University. At Thames TV programmes, winning an award from Sony for services to HDTV.

Teaching Film at the University of Southern California  in Los Angeles, subsequently I headed the screenwriting faculty at the London outpost of the New York Film Academy in Holborn. I was responsible for the post graduate MFA degree granted under the auspices of New York University. In addition to helping many an aspiring thespian to major Drama schools such as Central and RSAMD, at Anyang University, two students were placed first and second in an English public speaking competition held across all Chinese universities.

Ten yeas ago, I discovered the joys of tutoring, mentoring, governing believing in the role is about adapting to the aims desired by the tutees. I have tutored online and F2F over a hundred young and older people including a Russian post graduate, IB candidates in Shanghai and the MYP programme to royal princes aged 8 and 12 in Riyadh and Madina.

I have also worked tutoring in Kuwait, Indonesia, Singapore, Azerbaijan, Poland, Italy and France.Via the ISEB exam several pupils have secured places at Wycombe Abbey, Benended, Fettes, St Paul s and Westminster. I have taught Common Entrance, History, English, Drama, Sociology and Film to A level, AS Maths, the SAT, the IBDP, AP and the Diploma di liceo including assistance with Personal Statements.

I have mentored adults in Business English, rewritten speeches for foreign born politicians and guided at least a dozen tutees to Oxford and Cambridge including the TSA and the LNAT.
Having taught in international schools I am abreast of innovations in curricula providing a comforting dynamic where the student s needs are always paramount.
I prefer home tutoring above all, in particular the preparation and implementation of an agreed time table involving the parents and pupil. My method is Socratic it is taxing at times but the results are always the reward.

Cooking, cycling and chess are serious pastimes, relaxation includes continual reading about World War Two, the Romans and not quite enough visits to the gym. With dual UK and Irish citizenship I am conversant in French.

I have been a teacher all of my working life; starting off with a year as an “assistante de langue” in France as part of my Languages undergraduate degree at The University of Leeds, then teaching English as a foreign language in Spain, France, and Argentina. On my return, I qualified as a French and Spanish teacher at the Institute of Education in London and started my career in a successful state school in East London. Whilst raising a family, I gave private lessons, helped develop a languages revision app, and worked as a translator. I have spent the last five years teaching French and Spanish at a top independent boys’ school in London.

My passion for languages has afforded me a great many things in life, and I hope to pass that on to as many young people as I can, whilst also working to address the barriers that impede effective learning and building confidence. This is achieved through maintaining high expectations of my students, employing a wide range of pedagogical techniques to best suit the individual learner, and regular retrieval practice to recall prior learning. I have experience in AQA, Edexcel, and C.I.E at (I)GCSE, and AQA at A-Level. I have also supported younger children and adults in language acquisition.

I completed my studies at Imperial College London with a First Class Honors BSc in Biochemistry. I have tutored ages 12-18 in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology throughout my University studies. One of my proudest moments was when I managed to help a student at GCSE grades 3 and 4 in Chemistry and Biology achieve grades 8 and 9 respectively. In GCSE I achieved 11A*.

I am very enthusiastic about helping students realise their potential through far more efficient thinking than is taught at school. In terms of my interests, I am a black belt in Karate, having competed internationally for England. Furthermore I was Imperial’s first team Water Polo Captain (we placed 5th in the top UK league). I will be studying a Master’s in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at ETH Zürich next year.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and I am currently completing a Master’s at King’s College London. In A Level, I received 3A* and 1A and in GCSE, 8A*and 2A. I received a perfect score, 800, in both the Mathematics and Physics SAT level 2 subject tests. I am also an elite Judo player having won the National Championships on multiple occasions. Furthermore, I compete on the Judo world tour for the US team and I am working to qualify for the Olympics. I believe the key to success in both Mathematics and Judo comes from working hard and smart.

I have plenty of tutoring experience, including tutoring undergraduates with their calculus classes. I can teach A Level and GCSE including all the syllabi and in addition I can prepare you for the Mathematics sections for American University entrance exams such as the ACT, SAT and SAT subject tests.

I graduated from Cambridge University achieving a Master’s in Chemical Engineering in a four year course. I intend to continue exploring my passion for academia by tutoring more often and sharing the techniques that helped me succeed in exams throughout my high school and university career. In addition to my strong academic background I have tutored throughout my four year course and helped students achieve their goals in GCSE and A Level examinations. In addition, I studied the International Bachelorette (IB) programme, where I was awarded the President’s award for academic excellence when I was younger, so I am very familiar with the course content. Being a successful Cambridge graduate, I am also able to help with Oxbridge applications and interviews.

My approach to tutoring involves understanding my client’s specific needs and tailoring my content delivery to match these. Having only recently gone through so many examinations, I have up to date knowledge and the ability to share my own effective revision techniques, so that my clients can adapt them. I believe learning should be enjoyable in order to be effective long-term and I always display my passion for the subjects when tutoring.
